About me

Currently, I'm a master student of Digital Sciences with focus in Artificial Intelligence at Université de París (U-Paris), France. I'm also a research assistant at the Bioinformatics Laboratory at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH), Peru. There, I develop Deep Learning algorithms for early and low-cost medical diagnosis. I obtained my BSc degree in Electronic Engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI), Peru, and ranked first place in my graduating class. My research experience includes two fellowships in Computer Vision and Deep Learning at AGH University of Science and Technology (Poland) and University of Padova (Italy).

Also, I have participated in several workshops at top conferences related to Artificial Intelligence such as NeurIPS (2019, 2020), ICML (2019, 2020), ICLR (2021), and CVPR (2021). In addition, I have attended important schools on AI/ML including the 10th Lisbon Machine Learning School LxMLS 2020 (Portugal), the Cornell, Maryland, Max Planck Research School CMMRS 2020 (Germany), the Machine Learning Summer School MLSS 2021 (Taiwan), and the CIFAR Deep Learning + Reinforcement Learning Summer School DLRL 2021 (Canada). My academic service includes my role as a reviewer for the ICLR main conference (2022), the LXAI Workshop at NeurIPS (2019, 2020, 2021), the LXAI Workshop at ICML (2020, 2021), the SEDL Workshop at ICLR (2021), and the LXCV Workshop at CVPR (2021). Finally, in addition to my interest in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning and their applications, I have fascination for books related to science fiction and technology, and also a deep interest in topics about technology, philosophy, mathematics, physics, and science in general.
