About me

Currently, I'm a research assistant at the Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology Laboratory at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH), Peru. There, I develop Artificial Intelligence algorithms for early and low-cost medical diagnosis. I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI), Peru, and ranked first place in my graduating class. My research experience includes two research fellowships in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning at the AGH University of Science and Technology (Poland), and the University of Padova (Italy).

I have participated in prestigious conferences related to AI, such as the NeurIPS (2019, 2020), the ICML (2019, 2020), and the ACL (2020). Also, I have participated in important schools such as the 10th Lisbon Machine Learning School LxMLS 2020 (Portugal), and the Cornell, Maryland, Max Planck Pre-doctoral Research School CMMRS 2020 (Germany). My academic service includes my participation as a reviewer for the LXAI Workshop at NeurIPS (2019, 2020), the LXAI Workshop at ICML (2020), the SEDL Workshop at ICLR (2021), and the LXCV Workshop at CVPR (2021). In addition to my strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, I have a fascination for books related to science fiction and technology, and also a deep interest in topics about the impact and future of science and technology.
