About me

Currently, I'm a master student of Digital Sciences with focus in Artificial Intelligence at Université Paris Cité (France). I'm also a full-time research intern at Nokia Bell Labs (France) and a part-time research assistant at the Bioinformatics Lab of the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (Peru). In Nokia Bell Labs I'm working on design Machine Learning algorithms for predictive maintenance, and in the Bioinformatics Lab I'm involved in developing Deep Learning and Computer Vision algorithms for early and low-cost medical diagnosis. I obtained my BSc degree in Electronic Engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI), Peru, and ranked first place in my graduating class. My research experience in Deep Learning, Computer Vision and NLP includes internships at the AGH University of Science and Technology (Poland), University of Padova (Italy) and Université Sorbonne Paris Nord (France).

As well, I have presented some of my research projects in several workshops at top conferences related to Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning such as NeurIPS (2019, 2020, 2022), ICML (2019, 2020), ICLR (2021), and CVPR (2021). My academic service includes my role as paper reviewer for the NeurIPS main conference (2022, 2023), the ICLR main conference (2022), the LXAI Workshop at NeurIPS (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022), the LXAI Workshop at ICML (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023), and the LXCV Workshop at CVPR (2021, 2022, 2023). In addition, I have attended important schools on Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning including the 10th Lisbon Machine Learning School LxMLS 2020 (Portugal), the Cornell, Maryland, Max Planck Research School CMMRS 2020 (Germany), the Machine Learning Summer School MLSS 2021 (Taiwan), and the CIFAR Deep Learning + Reinforcement Learning Summer School DLRL 2023 (Canada). Finally, in addition to my interest in AI, I'm also interested in topics about informatics, mathematics, physics, technology, and also philosophy.
